Marge Simpson
Marge Simson is a character from animated television series "The Simsons". She is the wife of Homer Simpson, mother of Bart Simpson and two younger children: Lisa and Maggie Simson. The name Marge is an abbreviation of "Marjorie".
Her most characteristic feature is a big amount of the blue hair, styled into very hide beehive. She actually dyes her hair blue, the original color is according to the Homer Simson's word "gray as a mule".
The personal features of Marge Simson's character are quite positive in the comparison with the rest of Simson's family. As the only person she encourages the other family members to go to church. She is full of patience toward her foolish husband Homer, and she often defends their son Bart against the Homer's rage. As it is widely known, the standard Homer's reaction after discovering Bart's bad behavior is yelling and strangling. We could say, that Bart is a victim of the family violence, because strangling is not a way of breeding the children according to the civilized standards.
The Marge Simson's age in the first episodes of the TV series was about 34, later on it increased to circa 38. In the childhood she gained the traumatic fear of flying, when she discovered that her father in the airline steward. During the studies she began to be an activist, but after the single protest she was punished by the school and forced to serve detention, where she met Homer Simson for the first time.
Marge Simson works as a home keeper. Before she married Homer Simson, she worked as a roller-skate waitress in a drive-in restaurant. Besides the husband, she has some admirers from the past: C. Montgomery Burns and ex-millionaire Artie Ziff, who is now more interested in Marge's sister Selma.
